The client wanted to create a spacious and characterful garden room that felt like a natural extension of the existing property. The brief was to design an oak framed structure that would bring warmth, light and architectural interest to the home, while providing a practical living space for everyday use.
With the existing brickwork forming a key feature of the interior, the oak frame needed to complement the traditional materials already present. Large areas of glazing were also important, helping to maximise natural light and create a strong connection between the room and the garden outside.
The client required a frame that would feel substantial and timeless, with visible oak detailing that added both structural integrity and visual impact.

Vestra Oak designed and supplied a bespoke oak frame that worked sympathetically with the existing building and brickwork. The frame was carefully detailed to create an open, vaulted space, with exposed oak posts, beams, braces and rafters forming a striking feature throughout the room.
The oak framing was designed to support generous glazing, including large windows and glazed doors, allowing the garden room to feel bright and open while maintaining the warmth and character of a traditional oak structure.
Internally, the exposed oak frame adds depth, texture and craftsmanship to the space. The combination of oak, brick and glass creates a balanced finish, bringing together rustic materials with a clean, refined layout.
Every element of the oak frame was manufactured with precision, ensuring the structure fitted neatly with the existing property and could be installed efficiently on site.
The finished garden room is a warm, inviting and beautifully detailed living space. The exposed oak frame gives the room a strong architectural presence, while the vaulted ceiling and glazed gable create a bright and open feel.
From the outside, the oak frame adds character and definition to the extension, creating a seamless link between the home, patio and garden. Inside, the natural oak works beautifully alongside the exposed brickwork and timber flooring, giving the space a timeless, high-quality finish.
The result is a practical yet elegant oak framed extension that enhances the property and provides a comfortable, light-filled room to enjoy throughout the year.
